| Brief Information | The exhibition was prepared by the RAA within a grant programme of the Youth Foundation of Armenia, a partner organisation of the President of the Republic of Armenia, in collaboration with Duty of Soul NGO. It exposed the cultural genocide perpetrated against the Armenian heritage of Western Armenia through rare archive photos from the collections of such meritorious researchers as Vardan Hambikian, Toros Toramanian, J. Boll, Hovsep Orbeli, H. Maghakian, Paolo Cuneo, Jean-Michel Thierry, Armen Hakhnazarian and others. On 8 June 2015, the exhibition opened in Stepanakert, the capital of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh), in the presence of a number of high-ranking officials, including the Speaker and Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Artsakh, the Ministers of Education, Youth and Culture, Foreign Affairs, etc. On 11 June 2015, the opening of the exhibition was held in the gallery of Ijevan City, Tavush Region, Republic of Armenia, in the presence of numerous students and workers of culture. On the 13th, the exhibition opened in the hall of St. Grigor Narekatsy Church of Vanadzor City, Lori Region, RA, in the presence of Deputy Governor of the region Tigran Badoyan, Mayor of the city Samvel Darbinian, Primate of Lori (Gugark) Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, His Eminence Archbishop Sepuh Chuljian, and others. On 17 July the exhibition opened in the Architects’ Union of Armenia, Yerevan, RA. |
