HOVVI CHURCH

The film features a 3D reconstruction of Hovvi Church, one of the pearls of Armenian architecture once standing outside the ramparts of the medieval Armenian city of Ani. It also presents a description of its architectural peculiarities with an account of its gradual destruction.

SILENCE

This psychological documentary exposes the attitude of the Georgian authorities towards the national minorities of the country, and especially, the Armenians. It also discloses the continual destruction and appropriation of the non-Georgian religious monuments of the country, particularly including over 300 Armenian Apostolic, Catholic and Orthodox churches as well as monasteries and cemeteries.
In 2009 the documentary Silence was awarded the Diploma of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia at the International Youth Film Festival Yes Em (It is Me). In the same year, it also won a Diploma for a Most Promising Beginning at the Open Student Film Festival Beginning held in St. Petersburg, RF.

JULFA

The documentary presents a history of the city of Old Jugha (Julfa), located on the left bank of the river Arax. It also exposes the annihilation of its renowned medieval Armenian cemetery of thousands of cross-stones by the Azerbaijanian authorities of Nakhijevan.
In 2007 Tiran Karapetian received the Prize of the President of the Republic of Armenia for the documentary Jugha, which also won the First Prize in the nomination of Documentary Films at the International Youth Film Festival Yes Em (It is Me). In March 2013 the documentary won the prize of the Council of the Armenian Films Revival Cinema Centre in the nomination of National Film.
