| Brief Information | The booklet presents a concise history of Getashen, one of the oldest and most renowned Armenian villages in a region that lies in the central part of Artsakh Province of Historical Armenia, in a wooded area in the north of the Mrav Mountains, in the deep gorge of the river Kyurak. The information is based on library and archive materials as well as on our studies of the lapidary inscriptions and historical monuments of the village. This work is a tribute to the ever living memory of Simon Achikgyozian, Tatul Krpeyan, Arthur Karapetian, Valeri Nazarian, Zarzand Danielian and other heroes who defended the glorious village of Getashen at the cost of their lives. |
